One Last Thing.....
I really like doing the Avatar, Flickr, Mind Map, and Animoto. These were really fun because it wall new to me and it allows me to show my creative side. I will use this even when the class is over because this will be helpful to me in the future. I will use the Online calendar for my everyday use because I can keep up with news, people birthdays, and important events that will come up. It keeps me organized. I did not know I could make my own movie in such a short amount of time. There were a lot of programs that interested me and I will definitely use them for my classroom and personal use. There was nothing that could be changed, when starting 23 Things, I thought I was gonna fall behind because a lot of the information was new. The tutorials were helpful and I made through the end. The programs gave plenty of examples and the concepts were very interesting. I will use alot of the information because it teaches the students to be creative and it strengthen them in technology. I will definitely keep up with the RSS Feeds because it will keep me organized with different websites and it will not be cluttered information.
Thing #23
This Creative Common is a great way of teaching children about crediting someone for their work. This gives a lot of insight on why they should be credited; because they created it first and they have rights. So, this is what every child should know about. This could be used when they are writing a book or researching.
Thing #22
The podcast I listened to Great Speeches in History - The Obama 2004 DNC Keynote Address. I subscribed to this Feed to hear many people speeches. I liked this podcast because even though I minimized it I still could hear it and I didn't need headphones or a ipod. I will listen to this on a regular bases and many more. I would do this for my students and I think they would have fun with it just like I did.

Thing 21
Animoto was a great way to display pictures that mean a lot to me. I had a great experience on creating my video, I never did anything like this before. Now I know how to do this, I plan on making postcards and more videos. This was really neat.
Thing #20
I like using you tube because you can see old telvision shows that do not come on t.v. anymore. You can also see television shows that you maybe missed. There are infinite number of tags that are available to you. You tube also allow people to post videos and people can comment on the videos. This is a good resource for the classroom.

I signed up for Teacher Pop. I did not even know this existed, this is great community networking. I will learn more as I work on my page and I see some of the people I had class with 1 and 2 year ago. So this has been out for some time. This Ning Network is a real good tool for me now and in the future. I can use this to interact with people I went to college with in the future, it is a good way to keep in touch.

All educators should know about social networking because it is a great opportunity find people you that you went to school with, read about people to see where they are in life. People can create some good ideas on something that you having a hard time trying to come up with. It is good to reunite with people you haven't seen in a long time especially for future educators (college students) they can look up their teachers and communicate with them. I like Facebook because I am most familiar with it. I would not use this in a classroom.

This bookmarking on del.ic.us is great for teachers because the teachers can find good and helpful information. This is also great for students because if they are assigned to research somenthing this social bookmarking is very resourceful. Bookmarking narrows all of the information that a person would look up on websites. That is great because all of the information can seem overwhelming.
Thing #16
The online calendar was very helpful to me because it helps me to remember birthdays and up in coming events. I put in a lot of birthdays and I could not think of all of the people, the online calender allows me to go back and add people birthdays. I would definitely use this in a classroom because the students can put information and assignments in the calendar and go back and view what would be due for the following week.
Thing #15
The wiki concept is interesting because you can build a web page of infomatin and go back and add or change words/phrases. Save it until the next time you need to add or change it. Having a wiki would be very beneficial in group assignments informatio can be shared or rearranged. This is a good way for the teacher to see if everyone in the group is doing their part. It give everybody in the group an opportunity to see everyone thoughts and ideas.
Thing #14
I chose Mind Map. It was easy to use and you can come up with different colors for the bubbles. signed up for Flowchart but they said they will get back to me, so I decided to stick with Mind Map.
These are the links where you can view 2 of my Mind Maps.

I subscribed to Google alerts and Google calendar. I really liked doing the Google alert because I have started keeping tabs on my favorite football team which is the Phialdelphia Eagles. This alerts me on the latest events that will be going on during the season. Google calender allowed me to put in people birthday's and upcoming events that is going on in my life. It was a good experience searching throuugh what Google had to offer. This is good for students to create a Google calendar for upcoming assignments that are due. They can create a calendar for peronal use as well.

Thing #11
I picked Topix.net to subscribe to because it gave a lot of information that I can use and learn from. This is the only one that I found most interesting. I looked at other feeders but I especially liked Topix.
Thing #10
I subscribed to CNN. This site gives awesome information and keep people updated on todays news ans ongoing news. I also like it because not only does it have world news, it also have sports and entertainment as well. I like this RSS because it only give me want I want instead of a bunch of junk that I would just delete and never read. You can modify it the way you want it. I would use this as an education tool if we our trying to reasearch some news and following and updates on that particular news. This is why it is so great because the students will only read what I want them to read. I subsribed to My Yahoo

www.txt2pic.com

This was an unique experience on creating my signs. I could definitely use this in the classroom so the childen can show their creative styles. They would have a lot of fun because it shows what interest them. I also would use this on a personal level because I could create a scrapbook or a greeting card. This is a great tool.
Thing # 8

Flickr was a great tool I would use this in the classroom for my students to load pictures of nature and diferent pictures they find. I just would not let them upload their photos. I enjoyed looking at the creative things this website had to offer. I went to Spell with Flicker and that is how I received these letters. It was neat because one can type in any word they like and Spell with Flickr would spell it out. If did not like that particular picture you could click on it until you get the one you desire.

Mango Languags is a helpful website for people of all different backgrounds to really explore and learn a language of their choice. School 2.0 is a new era in technology of access information through the web faster and more accurately. Teachers and students can get various amounts of information and the students can research any subject at their fingertips. School 2.0 is an excellent resource for teachers, parents, and students. It is also a good way of incorporating computer technology in the classroom.

Thing #4
This is a great way to keep the communication going because you can also view what people think on different things. I followed and commented on 7 people: Amber Sager, Stephanie Gottschalk, Lori Gill, David Williams, Brittney Cook, Kevin Wallace, and Shannon Mckinney. I selected them honestly because I was going down the list of names and their names just happen to be in that order. My comment on Amber Sager was about how she is moving right along regarding her 23 Things and I'm on my way. My comment on Stephanie Gottschalk was about our avatar picture. She said she had a hard time on finding some clothes and I responded that I found the exact shirt from the avatar picture that I have at home; it was the I love NY shirt. The comment I made on Lori Gill was about how much work we have in this class. The comment I made on David Williams was about doing this work is interesting and fun but it is a lot of work. The comment I made on Brittney Cook was about the work in this class. I also commented on Kevin Wallace because he has a cool avatar picture and how we agreed about working towards a goal. I added that I sometimes get off track but I gt back on track later and work toward that goal. Finally, I commented on Shannon Mckinney about her avatar pic and how she likes to read. I like to read only things that interest me.
Thing #3
For my future classroom, I would the the students set up their on blog page so they can go on their and chat with other classmates as well as other educators. Ask questions and get others insight on education as well as different activities. They could set up a buddy system and find people to chat with and maybe see each others work. This is really good for parents to see so they can keep up with their child's learning process. Teachers and their co-workers are very much need for these blogs because parents, children, and other educators can learn from them. Sharing ideas is very good because their might be a new teacher just entering the teaching program and this would be helpful. It is a good communication tool.
